CAR WASH ON SATURDAY!!!

Even though the semester is quickly coming to an end, the real contribution that our group is putting toward the project is still coming up. This Saturday, Team WORKS, and anyone else from English 304 who wants to help out, will be conducting a car wash to raise money for Ms. Cribbe and the Anderson Sunshine House. It will be at Papa John's downtown from about 10AM to about 3PM on this coming Saturday the 28th. The car wash will be free, but donations are always encouraged! There will also be a bake sale and complimentary refreshments for those of us working.

If you have some extra time on Saturday morning, come out and help! You definitely don't have to stay the whole time, and if you're really busy that day, just come out and get your car washed. It should be a beautiful day, and a lot of fun all for a great cause!

Progress So Far

At our last meeting we talked about the car wash that we are going to have on Saturday the 28th. We are doing this to raise money for the Anderson Sunshine House so that we can give a contribution to what they are doing along with building the website for them. We discussed getting flyers and handing them out. We also talked about where we are going to do the car wash and how we are going to get the supplies. We hope that we can give the Anderson Sunshine a good donation so that they won't have to worry about so many things for a while.

Post-proposal work...

We've recently turned in our proposals and have gotten them back from Beth. She's written back to us and given the thumbs up on the proposal that she wants. We've all been working together really well and are pretty excited about being done with that part of this project. Although our proposal wasn't the chosen one, we still look forward to helping out with the project as a class now. It'll be good to be able to collaborate with the whole class and Angie in order to make the best possible website for the Sunshine House. Beth commented on several different proposals, the things she liked and disliked, so it will be easier now to narrow down exactly what she wants. We look forward to working towards a final product and seeing how much our work will help out Beth and Carolyn.

About the web-site

Since we know which website design that our client has picked, we are going to conduct a power-point presentation in next class, and show other groups our design. In our Friday class, we have selected which part of the website pages that we going to create. We have selected three categories: fundraiser, contact info, and ways to help. We believe that we will do a great job on these categories because on our proposal, we have a lot of ideas and information on these three parts. We are very excited to work on the actucal website, and we are ready to put this site to work.
